Tottenham Hotspur FC

In recent years Tottenham Hotspur have encouraged exciting football at White Hart Lane (capacity: 36,240) through a number of flamboyant European signings and homegrown talent to enjoy some success in the Premier League.

Spurs remain the only side to win the FA Cup as a non-league club (they did so in 1901), although trophies have been few and far between in recent years. The only silverware Tottenham have picked up since the Premier League's inception is the 1999 League Cup under the guidance of George Graham.

However, with Martin Jol now in charge, Tottenham Hotspur have developed a squad capable of making their mark on the upper reaches of the Premiership. The signing of Darren Bent from Charlton Athletic further bolsters Spurs' front line, providing Jol will a selection headache with Defoe, Keane and Berbatov all in contention as well. Homegrown youngsters such as Michael Dawson, Aaron Lennon and Tom Huddlestone and experienced players such as Ledley King mean Tottenham Hotspur have the capability to play stylish and effective football and following consecutive fifth place finishes in 2005/06 and 2006/07 have realistic aspirations to succeed in both the Premier League and the UEFA Cup.
