Wayne Rooney was born in Liverpool on the 24th October 1985. He first burst on to the football scene in 2002 aged just 16, scoring a memorable goal against Arsenal, which at the time made him the youngest ever goalscorer in the premier league.

After two successful seasons at Everton he completed his dream move to Manchester United for a reported £31 million.

Wayne Rooney has already made 100 appearances for Manchester United, including a hat-trick on his Champions League debut against Fenerbahçe.

He has also had success with the England national team and already has 12 international goals to his name.
