Michael Owen made his first team debut for Liverpool in 1996 and in the following season he was the joint top goal scorer in the premier league.

Micheal Owen made his International debut in February 1998 and has scored 37 goals in 82 appearances for England. He also had a superb goalscoring record for Liverpool, scoring 118 goals in 216 appearances for over 8 seasons before making a suprise move to Real Madrid in 2004 to link up with England team mates David Beckham and Jonathan Woodgate.

His Madrid career was to be short lived as he only lasted for 1 season before falling out of favour with the higher management and was sold on to Newcastle United for a cut price £12 million. However, an injury filled 2 years with Newcastle has seen wim make only 14 appearances for his current club.
