Lewis Hamilton is in his debut year as a Formula One driver for team McLaren.

The 22 year old, from Stevenage has set three Formula One records in 2007, his first year as a driver.

When he competed in the Australian grand Prix, he became the first black Formula One driver.

On completing the Bahrain Grand Prix, he became the first Formula One driver to finish in the top three positions in his first three races.

In the Spanish Grand Prix he took second place - making him the youngest ever Formula One driver to lead the drivers championship.

The golden boy of Formula One added another record to his streak this week when he became the first black driver to win a Formula One Grand Prix when he won the event filled Canadian Grand Prix on 10 June 2007. He currently still leads the Driver Championship eight points ahead of reigning champion Fernando Alonso.

Since the start of the season Hamiltom has finished on the podium in all 5 races to date.
