Andrew Flintoff, nicknamed Freddie, is the fans favourite because of his fast bowling and hard hitting as an all round cricketer. His lifestyle also makes him a favourite as he likes to have a party and is a larger than life character. Born on the 6th December 1977 in Preston, Lancashire, Andrew Flintoff has been playing for his home county since 1995. Capped in 1998 and made Vice-Captain in 2002.
Injury has plagued Flintoff recently but he is back on form for Lancashire and set to join England in the one day series against India starting on August 21st.
Flintoff has built up a 90mph pace and over took Botham's record for six-hits in one day internationals. He has won the title of man of the match on a few occasions, most notably when he hit 167 runs against the West Indies in the 2004 test at Edgbaston. Flintoff played superbly against Australia in the test which England eventually one, and he has been hailed by Michael Vaughan as a true English Hero.
