Young in England Squad

Luke Young, defender for Charlton, will be in the England squad for the Euro 2008 qualifiers with Israel and Andorra.

Despite being left out of the original 23 last week, McClaren has called him up to cover the defense after Gary Neville’s ankle injury leaves him unable to play.

The injury riddled squad also includes Manchester City defender Micah Richards Richards has injured his calf following the match against Middlesbrough last weekend.

Other players given late calls to the squad are Gareth Barry and David Nugent.
