Tiger Tim stroms to victory
27th Jun 2007Henman Hill was alive and kicking yesterday as Tim Henman was victorious over Carlos Moya of Spain in an epic match lasting 5 sets and spanning 2 days.
In a match that kept the spectators glued to the television sreens and on the edge of their seats, Tim, at times made a meal out of it, but played the better tennis in the fifth set and took the match when Moya double faulted on a match point to Henman.
The final score was 6-3 1-6 5-7 6-2 13-11 in just over four hours of play.
Henman is set to get pulses racing again today when he takes on his second round opponant Feliciano Lopez. Lopez is unseeded and has already knocked one Brit out of the tournament, Josh Goodall.
It is these unseeded players who sometimes throw Tiger Tim off his game, we have previously seen him beat some of the best only to be defeated by a lesser player.
With the whole of the country behind him, lets hope Tiger Tim lives up to his name and go far in the 2007 tournament.
