Eriksson was initially offered a £2 million a year contract, but that was not enough for the ex Englans manager and he talked them into an extra million for a three year contract.
None of this is official until Thaksin Shinawatra (the former Thailand Prime Minister) gets the 755 shareholding he needs to take control of the club. This should not take long as he already has 55.9% and is buying Sky TVs 9.9% leaving a 9.2% defecit.
Meanwhile Eriksson has been making plans for the club including bringing in teh Sweden assistant coach Roland Andersson as his numebr 2. Andersson has said that he is flattered at the offer but is not considering the offer until Sven becomes the official manager. "If he is not the manager, there is nothing to discuss".
Sven is rumoured to have a transfer kitty of £50 million and will have his sites set on quality players such as Michael Owen.
