Surgery Set to End Harmy's Summer
17th Jul 2007England fast bowler Steve Harmison looks set to miss the rest of this summers action after a hernia problem that will rule him out of the first test against India. Out-of-form Harmison first encountered the injury in the recent series against West Indies. He further aggravated the injury while playing for his County, Durham, and will now see a specialist to determine the extent of the problem. If it decided that the pace man needs surgery, he will almost certainly be ruled out until the winter series against Sri Lanka.
This injury to Harmison will bring a hint of joy to the face of young Stuart Broad, who at the age of 21 is set to make his Test match debut for his country, filling the spot of the injured Durham man. Following Harmison's exit from the 13-man squad, Hampshire fast bowler Chris Tremlett has been added. Tremlett has also never represented his country at Test level but played 6 ODI's in an England shirt.
The opening nPower Test against India will be played at Lords on 19th July.
