Murray Mound Mourns
25th Jun 2007Britian was left disappointed yesterday when Andy Murray announced that he would be unable to compete in this years Lawn tennis Championships due to a wrist injury which has seen him off the court since May when he injured the tendon in Hamburg on his 20th birthday, May 15.
Murray was due to play today against Nicolas Lapentti on Court One. Murray, Britains number 1 player and the world ranked number 8 is said to be bitterly disappointed at not being able to compete in his home tournament.
The Scot said " I have done everything possible to be ready for Wimbledon. It's been six weeks of really hard work but I'm not 100% ready."
This means that Britains hopes lie firmly on the shoulders of Tiger Tim Henman.
