Manduro wins the Ascot

Manduro sprinted to victory Wednesday in the Prince of Wales Stakes at Royal Ascot. Manduro the 15-8 favorite ridden by Stephane Pasquier held off last years Derby winner Sir Percy. This is Manduro's third straight win this season and Pasquier's first Royal Ascot victory. Pasquier, who has ridden Manduro successfully to four victories said: 'He's improving every time he runs. He proved today he's a very good horse. He finished well. I had a lot of confidence in my horse because I ride him every time and I know everything he can do.' Manduro's trainer Andre Fabre said he will definatley race in the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Diamond Stakes at Ascot on July 28.
