Hammers set to continue summer spending

The rumour mill at West Ham United as the Hammers look to continue their summer spending spree.

Having recently completed the signing of Freddie Ljungberg from Arsenal, the Hammers have reportedly made a club record bid of £12m for Bolton Wanderers striker Nicolas Anelka, with Keiron Dyer also linked to the east London club.

Despite losing Marlon Harewood and Nigel Reo-Coker to Premier League rivals Aston Villa, Alan Curbishley's side have made a string of new signings under the leadership of new chairman Eggert Magnusson.
