Eriksson continues City spending spree
2nd Aug 2007Sven Goran-Eriksson continued his re-building job at Manchester City by completing the signing of Real Sociedad's Javier Garrido, Dinamo Zagreb defender Vedran Corluka and Brazilian midfielder Elano from Turkish side Shaktar Donetsk.
The latest influx of players to Eastlands comes as the ex-England manager looks to re-shape his side ahead of the forthcoming Premiership season.
Eriksson's fierce spending in the transfer market comes with the backing of City's new chairman Thaksin Shinawatra.
Ex-Thai Prime Minister Shinawatra has come under fire from Human Rights Groups recentely regarding his tenure as the head of the country.
