Curbishely looks to bulster squad further
31st Jul 2007The revolving door at Upton Park has been in constant use this summer as West Ham boss Alan Curbishley looks to revamp his side.
Curbishley lost Hammers stars Nigel Reo-Coker and Marlon Harewood to Aston Villa but recently completed the signing of Ljungberg from Arsenal.
Having been linked to Newcastle United's Keiron Dyer and moody Frenchman Nicolas Anelka the east London side are now rumoured to be lining up a sensational double deal to capture Barcelona's Eidur Gudjohnsen and Manchester United's Alan Smith.
Gudjohnsen looks as though he may sign for £10m this week and Curbishley has made an enquiry about £7m rated Smith. The former Charlton boss has been given a free reign by new chairman Eggert Magnusson after the Hammers only just avoided relegation last season.
