Chelsea Break The Home Win Record

Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho, was delighted when his team broke the unbeaten home win record on Sunday.

Chelsea have now gone 64 home Premiership games without losing at Stamford Bridge. Beating the record previously set by Liverpool at 63, between 1978 and 1980. Mourinho said he, and the Chelsea team, was "very proud"of their achievement. He went on to say:

"It was a good game to celebrate the home record, a game with lots of goals and enthusiasm."

Mourinho however does not want to stop there as he is trying set a personal record. He has had 99 unbeaten home games for both Porto and Chelsea. The last time he lost at home was against Beira Mar in 2002 when he was at Porto. If he can beat Portsmouth on the 25th August he will reach 100.

"I'm on 99 and I hope my friend Harry Redknapp doesn't kill my record in the next game at home because I would love to reach 100."
