betting odds on the most likely manager to leave first this Premiership
7th August, 2009
It seems that betting odds for the most likely manager to lose his job before any other are very accurate with Mark Hughes and Paul Hart up for the chop first.
Paul Hart, manager of Portsmouth is backed at favourite to leave first after he has spent the summer selling his best performing players to competing teams, leaving them with sinking talent and confidence. Being backed as favourite with the best price of 5/1 with Coral, it seems the bookies have shown Hart that increasing finances in the club is not going to help player’s performance.
Second favourite to struggle is Mark Hughes who has only had eyes for money recently, building up an excessive total spend of £100million this summer, which has built pressure for Man City to perform well this season. With a bundle of new talent fans are expecting wonders from the team! Ladbrokes are backing Hughes at 8/1 to go behind Hart.
Other bets worth considering are Phil Brown, who manages Hull and allowed us all to witness an awful finish last season providing bets of 8/1 with VC Bet as it seems that this season may reflect similar managing as last. Alex McLeish has already been close to losing his job once before so bookies do not see why this could happen again this season with Coral backing him to go at 7/1.
