Zat Knight Arrested In Drugs Raid

Aston Villa have confirmed that Zat Knight was arrested during a police drugs raid in the early hours of Wednesday. Knight was led away from the scene in handcuffs after police swooped on the house in Erdington, Birmingham, the Sun reported.
Officers executed the warrant under the misuse of Drugs and Firearms Act on Wednesday at an address in Poppy lane. Knight was later released on police bail.
A police spokeswoman said:
"Two men, aged 26 and 27, were arrested on suspicion of Class A Drug offences."
The 26 year old man, not Knight, was charged with possession of Class A Drugs with intent to supply, and is due to appear in Coldfield Magistrates' Court today.
Aston Villa paraded Knight in front of the media at 2 30pm but made no mention of his arrest at the press conference.
Villa acknowledged that he had been arrested but stressed the point he had not been charged.
