X-Factor’s Danyl Johnson begins to lose popularity
27th October, 2009
Online bookmakers Ladbrokes has revealed that last week’s favourite Danyl Johnson will spend the rest of competition fighting for survival. For one reason or another, it appears that the public either just do not like him or they believe that he will do well enough on his own that he doesn’t need their support, but either way, just £50 has been bet on the old favourite winning the X Factor since he was landed in the bottom two this week.
However, he still does not look likely to get the boot this week being priced at 12/1, it seems that if fans want him in they are going to have to start showing their support! It looks as though Rachel will be the one to go on Sunday, she escaped singing for survival last week, but bookies think that she is unlikely to survive again, making her favourite to go priced at 2/1.
A spokesman from Ladbrokes explained, “Danyl’s plight came as a real shock. It’s knocked punters faith in him – We can’t give him away at the moment.”
It seems that fans, judges and other contenders can see the true talent of Danyl Johnson but are scared to risk their money on him after Sundays panic. Despite the nerves, Danyl is backed at second favourite and is priced at 4/1 to win the show with Joe McElderry as favourite priced at 7/2.
