X-Factor contestant Olly Murs breaks his hand but is still favourite to win!
13th November, 2009
The next instalment of X-Factor is growing nearer so it is time to get up to date with all the latest gossip and odds!
X-Factor favourite Olly Murs has broken his hand while keeping in shape in the contestant’s mansion on Tuesday. The singer was taking out some pre show tension and as a result has suffered a boxer’s fracture!
This is just another obstacle for the Essex boy who suffered a severe sore throat in last week’s show resulting in him having to have an antibiotic injection to ease the pain. A spokeswoman from the show reassured the public saying, “He has a cast on his hand to prevent further damage, but will be performing as usual at the weekend. Olly is confident that it will not affect his hip-swivelling moves”
Another contestant that appears to be struggling this week is Lloyd Daniels who has still not fully recovered from his throat infection, and whilst it seems that luck has been on his side the last few weeks, bookies think that this weekend will be his last performance on the X-Factor.
The bookies offering the best prices at the moment are, Ladbrokes who make Olly Murs 2/1 favourite, followed by Danyl Johnson who has had his odds slashed making hims econd favourite priced at 7/2. Boylesports is offering 4/1 for Joe McElderry to win, Blue Square price Stacey Solomon at 5/1, whilst Jamie Archer is backed with much longer odds of 14/1 with Parry Power.
This week Lloyd Daniels is favourite to go, priced at 6/4 with Betfred to be the next to leave, followed closely by Jedward who seem to be losing their once loved fans now that the media are beginning to turn against them, they are now priced at 5/2, also with Betfred, to get the boot this week.
Gaming Alerts Top Tip: Jamie Archer is yet to be in the bottom two and with only a few weeks left, placing a bet for him to be crowned the winner at 14/1 with Paddy Power, might be a nice little earner!
