X-Factor betting odds lengthen after a shocking bottom two were revealed

26th October, 2009

Last night’s X Factor appeared to surprise the acts, the audience, the judges and the public! Favourite Danyl Johnson was singing for survival against popular girl band Miss Frank. Whilst throughout the competition and judging by their survival performance, Danyl Johnson was the better contestant, everyone was still shocked to see Miss Frank go as they have a lot of potential and were doing well in the competition.

All the judges made their decision leaving the deciding vote to Cheryl Cole and she very cowardly handed the decision over to the public vote. The results from the public vote meant that Miss Frank was eliminated from the competition. It seems that after the bookies had a bit of a shock to find Danyl Johnson and Miss Frank in the bottom acts, they are trying to prevent a large loss of money happening again so have cut Danyl Johnson’s odds from 7/4 to 5/1 with Blue Square.

After a very shocking results show it seems as though bookies have begun to confuse themselves and are offering very strange odds on some contestants so it appears that this is a good time to get yourself in with a bet! Danyl Johnson is clearly one of the best singers on the show and it seems that the only reason why he is struggling is because either the public are not warming to him or that they feel he is so good that he doesn’t need the votes, so placing a bet of 5/1 on him could be a little money earner especially if the public begin to see his true talent! However, the new favourite to take Johnson’s position is Joe McElderry priced at 7/2 with Ladbrokes and Bet 365.

Another great bet would be for Olly Murs who has been performing very well since the final live shows and is best priced at 5/1 with Ladbrokes. It seems that this year’s X Factor is going to be full of surprises, so it would be good to get your bets in on a week like this when there are some great prices available!

For good money making bets, why not try placing a bet with Ladbrokes?
