It’s only a few weeks away until the closing of the 2009 World Series of Poker and the much anticipated final event. The World Series of Poker this year has brought out some of the biggest poker stars around making it no surprise when we saw the line up participating in the November nine. The entire tournament has proved to be very entertaining however it only sets the stage for what thousands of poker player’s aim for each year, the final event of the WSOP.

2009 was certainly a great road for some of our favourite poker players in addition to the up and coming professionals. One name that we continued to see in the headlines was professional poker player, Phil Ivey. He continuously had a calm and collective demeanor which saw him sail through the majority of his tournaments in which he ended up as chip leader in many. Ivey’s poker skills are unlike any the WSOP has seen for some time with many suggesting he is one of the most advanced professional players in our generation.

However, Ivey isn’t the only exciting player found in the November Nine. So watch out for the finals in just a few weeks.
