World Cup Match Worth Almost 1 Million Euros

That’s right, a man going through William Hill telephone betting company has placed a €500,000 bet on Germany defeating Spain in tonight’s match. The line is at 10/11 which will yield a payout of €954,000, by far the largest pay out any world cup bet has ever seen. William Hill also has bets of €100,000 €90,000 and €75,000 all riding on a Germany victory tonight at 7:30.

Needless to say spokesman Graham Sharpe and everyone else at William Hill will be rooting for Spain tonight. There are bets in the €20,000 and €10,000 range for Spain, but none are as large as those riding on Germany. William Hill is still taking bets on the match which can be placed at their website.
