Woods thinks he can win the Grand Slam

9th April, 2008

With the US Masters teeing off tomorrow, tournament favourite Tiger Woods has said that he believes he can win all four majors in one season. He has won seven of the last nine tournaments he has entered, with some bookmakers marking him up as low as 8/1 to win all four majors.

"I think this is my 12th or 13th season and in nine of those years I've won five or more tournaments, so just got to win the right four," he said. "I've won all four in a row before" Woods also noted, referring to how he won all the majors in a row, but in two different seasons.

There is absolutely no value in betting on Woods to win the Master, as he is priced hardly better than evens with all bookmakers, 11/10 with Betfred. It may be worth betting with Paddy Power to use their special for the tournament: If Tiger Woods wins the 2008 US Masters by five or more shots, Paddy Power will refund all losing outright bets placed before the start of the tournament.

Boylesports are running the following great special: Refunds on ALL BETS an any player that birdies the 18th hole of their 4th round at this years tournament. Applies to Tournament Outright & Tournament Outright Without Tiger Woods Only.
