What do the bookies make of Dancing On Ice?
20th February, 2009
The bookies seem convinced that Ray Quinn will win this year's Dancing On Ice, and I have to say, we agree. Ray is head and shoulders above the rest and there seems very little hope of anyone beating him. Therefore, as well as looking at the winner's odds, let's take a look at who the bookies think will be the next to leave the show and who the top female will be:
Winner:
- Ray Quinn: 1/3 (bluesquare)
- Zoe Salmon: 8/1 (betfred)
- Jessica Taylor: 10/1 (betfred)
- Donal McIntyre: 33/1 (betfred)
- Roxanne Pallett: 33/1 (stanjames)
- Coleen Nolan: 40/1 (stanjames)
- Melinda Messenger: 66/1 (stanjames)
Who will be the next contestant to leave?
- Melinda Messenger: 7/4 (bluesquare)
- Roxanne Pallett: 3/1 (betfred)
- Coleen Nolan: 7/2 (williamhill)
- Donal Mcintyre: 12/1 (betfred)
- Zoe Salmon: 22/1 (stanjames)
- Jessica Taylor: 33/1 (bluesquare)
- Ray Quinn: 125/1 (stanjames)
Who will be the top female?
- Zoe Salmon: 6/4 (coral)
- Jessica Taylor: 6/4 (williamhill)
- Roxanne Pallett: 7/1 (coral)
- Coleen Nolan: 8/1 (williamhill)
- Melinda Messenger: 25/1 (totesport)
Our thoughts:
We think it highly likely that Melinda Messenger will be in the skate off again-she doesn't have the public vote. However, the judges may save her yet again if she is skating against Coleen or Roxanne. - Coleen and Roxanne will have to hope that the public save them from the skate off.
We find it interesting that although Zoe Salmon has better odds than Jessica Taylor, the bookies think that she is more likely to leave the competition this week than Jessica is. We personally think that Jessica will do better in the competition than Zoe.
We think Ray is a sure bet to win.
