Weekend Horse Racing Tips

Three for Saturday
No trainer is better at getting a horse ready after a break than Nicky Henderson and there is a fair degree of confidence behind the potentially well handicapped Royaleety on his return to action in the Bathwick Mandarin Handicap Chase at Newbury. Paul Nicholls is hoping Big Buck's develops into an Arkle Chase contender and the French import, who made a winning British debut at the last meeting, can take another step to the Festival in the Bathwick Tyres Andover Novices Chase. The best bet on the final day of the big Leopardstown meeting could be Lord Over in the Bewleys Hotel Park and Fly Maiden Hurdle. The six-year-old's trainer, Pat Flynn, will be very disappointed if he fails to go very close.
Silly Sunday
Silly Wupple may have a silly name but he looked a seriously good horse when he won a well contested Aintree bumper in October. Michael Scudamore's five-year-old won a point-to-point previously so he should have no trouble negotiating the obstacles on his Rules jumping bow in the Bank Of Scotland Novices Hurdle at Haydock on Sunday Also at Haydock Arnold Layne is fancied to take his winning sequence to four in the three mile four and half furlong The Last Fling Chase. Caroline Bailey's gelding's jumping has improved with experience and he stays really well. The handicapper has put him up 9lb for his last success but he has only had five races over fences and he should still be progressing.
