Wednesday Carling Cup Preview and Odds
31st October, 2007
The big televised game tonight sees unfancied Championship side Sheffield Utd face Premiership leaders Arsenal at Bramall Lane (Sky Sports 2, k/o 7:45pm). Arsenal go into this game full of confidence, having maintained their unbeaten status with a hard-fought draw against Liverpool. Although tradition would suggest that Arsenal will field a team of youngsters, the calibre of youngsters such as Bendtner, Walcott and Denilson will mean that Sheffied United will consider this tie as tough as any other. Arsenal have unsurprisingly been installed as the bookmakers favourite, priced at 3/5 with some bookies for the win. Bryan Robson’s Sheffield Utd have been priced at 4/1 pretty much across the board.
