Victor Chandler Arrested in France

During last weekend's horse racing at Longchamps, Victor Chandler was reportedly arrested for illegally taking bets during the Arc de Triomphe. According to the Daily Mail, Victor Chandler, his nephew and rails representative were caught during a raid on a corporate facility run by Horse Racing Abroad, who provide horse racing packages.
Victor Chandler's PR spokesman issued a statement saying: 'Four people from Victor Chandler were questioned by French police on Monday in respect of various aspects regarding entertaining at Longchamps. They were subsequently released without charge.'
The group were questioned by officers from the French Racecourse Gambling Unit and told not to leave the country without undergoing further interviews. There is some conflict concerning who exactly was involved and the situation that led to the arrests.
