UK snow forces Football matches to be postponed

8th January, 2010

The recent severe drop in temperatures and the excessive amount of snow has bought most of the country to a standstill and with predictions that there is still more to come, bookies are offering bets on how the football world will continue in the worst weather conditions in ten years!

There have been many changes over the past few weeks, including sacking of managers and players switching clubs in the January transfer window, but no amount of planning or changes can help teams adapt to the current weather conditions.

The bad weather has disrupted several fixtures and Sky Bet believes there are more to come! The online bookies is offering a price of 5/6 that three of more games are cancelled over the weekend and 7/4 that the current fixtures list is not disturbed seeing all ten games going ahead as planned. Other odds include 16/1 that one of the ten games is stopped at half time due to the weather.

Football betting expert Steward Beesley commented saying, “With the bad weather set to continue, it seems highly unlikely that we’ll see the full top flight programme go ahead this weekend.”
