Tuesdays Champions League Betting Preview

24th November, 2008

Champions League football returns this week with all the big Premiership teams in action against European competition. Chelsea, United and Liverpool could only manage 0-0 draws in their weekend league fixtures and Arsenal were beat convincingly by Man City 3-0.

Arsene Wenger once again was making excuses for his sides poor performance, as his team slumped to their 5th defeat of the season. William Gallas didn't helped his side before the game openly criticizing team mates and questioning his teams ability.

The North London club are now priced at 50/1 with betdirect to win the title and, judging by Saturday's performance, they may struggle to win qualification for next years champions league let alone the Premiership title.

Arsene Wengers side take on Dynamo Kiev tomorrow night and Gallas is expected to return to the side. Our betting tip for this game:

  • Arsenal to win 2-1 13/2 Bet 365
  • Fabregas to score first 10/1 Ladbrokes

United could only manage a draw at the weekend against a strong Aston Villa side. The Red Devils travel to Spain for their fixture against Villarreal. It's going to be a tough game for Ferguson's team but they will be determined to make up for the points lost on Saturday in the League: Our betting tip for this game:

  • United to win 2-0 12/1 with Bet Chronicle.
  • Rooney to Score first 7/1 Bluesqaure bet.

Good luck!
