Man City face Blackburn at Eastlands

Man City are set to face Blackburn tonight but could be without midfielder Michael Johnson who was complaining of abdominal pains earlier this week. However, Stephen Ireland will be returning to the pitch after a three-match ban while Emile Mpenza is expected to play following a pulled muscle.Blackburn face a tough match with Sven Goran Eriksson's Man City remaining unbeaten at home.

Manager Mark Hughes said: "They've got a set way of playing and they've got good individual talent, and even when they're struggling, that talent can come through and get them a result. "It's a big test for us, especially when we'd prefer to be on the back of a better run than we're having at the moment."

Stephen Warnock and Robbie Savage will both be absent from the game having been suspended following five bookings. The match is the only premiership game taking place tonight but sports fans are in for an exciting few days with eight premiership games kicking off on Saturday and two on Sunday.
