This weekends Premier League Betting Preview
2nd October, 2008
It's been a busy week of European football with Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United all winning comfortably. Chelsea however were held to a 0-0 draw in Romain against CFR Cluj.
Arsenal fans were angry and disappointed last weekend after being beaten by Hull City 2-1 at the Emirates stadium. Wenger would have been keen to get their season back on track with a win at home to Porto, and they did just this.
The gunners thrashed the 2004 Champions league winners 4-0 in a comfortable win. Van Persie and Emmanuel Adebayor both scored twice to ensure Arsenal's fans left happy ans Theo Wallcott again impressed on the right wing.
United traveled to Denmark to play AaB Aalborg and left 3-0 winners. New signing Dimitar Berbatov scored twice to open his United account and England international Wayne Rooney also found the back of the net.
Chelsea could only manage a draw against Champions League new comers CFR Cluj, with Dider Drogba picking up another injury. The injury list is growing at Stamford bridge with Joe Cole, Deco, Michael Essien and Ricardo Carvalho all out of the squad for the Aston Villa game on Sunday.
