The latest news and betting odds on X-Factor after the Twins are voted off
24th November, 2009
As one act leaves, another shines with a standing ovation. ..
Joe McElderry has kept himself to himself throughout the entire competition but in the last few live shows has crept out of his shell and has left the judges speechless with his talent! David Williams from Ladbrokes explained, “Joe took a while to get going but has now got all the momentum. We barely noticed him quietly improving but he's now roared into the show and is the one to beat.” Bookies are confident at this stage in the competition that McElderry has what it takes and is priced at 13/8 to win the competition.
Second favourite behind the Geordie is Stacey Solomon who is the last girl standing in the competition but appears to have a lot of support from both the viewers and the judges and is priced at 9/4 with Ladbrokes to win the show.
Olly Murs whose odds have lengthened after he was left fighting for his place in the competition last night, is priced at 3/1. Danyl Johnson seems to have got through his battle with the negative press and is beginning to enjoy the competition, however there are fears that the once favourite, is trying too hard to impress which will not work in his favour when it comes to votes!
Lloyd Daniels has really felt the strain this series and has spent numerous weeks in the bottom two singing for survival. A spokesman from Ladbrokes explained, “Lloyd is the great survivor. We keep expecting him to disappear but he returns week after week. We might have to start taking him seriously soon!” It seems that the Lloyd is of no concern to bookies yet and is priced with odds as long as 12/1 to win the competition, let’s hope that his previous luck continues and he is able to last a few more weeks!
