The latest betting odds for Strictly Come Dancing 2009
27th October, 2009
It seems that week after week the judges, audience and fans witness Ricky Whittle shine through over the rest of the dancers and it looks as though the betting is reflecting this same attitude, with Bet 365 alongside many other bookies now making him odds on favourite to win the series.
Bookmakers are beginning to believe that there are only two contestants left in the competition as Ricky Whittle and Ali Bastain are taking the series to a whole other level ahead of the other dancers. The two Hollyoaks actors look set to battle it out for the title for the remainder of the competition. The two bookies that appear to be the best to place bets on the current favourite is Stan James and Betfred as they two of the few bookies that you can still back at evens with. Paddy Power is struggling to see that there is any other dancer that could take the title away from him at this stage in the competition and are pricing him at 4/6. A spokesman from Ladbrokes appears to agree with this announcing, ““No serious challenger has emerged. Ricky’s the red-hot favourite and looks unstoppable.” Whittle can be backed at 5/6 with Ladbrokes.
Former Hollyoaks actress Ali Bastain seems set to be the only one to challenge Whittle and can be backed at 3/1 with VC Bet and Paddy Power to win. Other dancers seem a long way off from the top, so it seems as though the Strictly Come Dancing finalists of 2009 has already been decided.
