Strictly Come Dancing online betting odds
22nd October, 2009
We are quickly approaching week six of the addictive dance show which will see the couples compete for the winning title by dancing an American Smooth or a Samba this week.
Last week was not the best for Ali Bastain who was priced as second favourite, but after an average dance, bookies have decided to lengthen his odds to 4/1 with Sky Bet. However, as they say, when one goes down another has to go up, and it looks as though Jade Johnson is shooting to the top after a breath taking performance which persuaded judges to give her the top score behind favourite Ricky Whittle. Jade Johnson is now at 12/1 with Ladbrokes and Boylesports.
Ricky Whittle is still holding strong and was the first celebrity dancer of the series to receive a perfect 10 for a faultless Viennese Waltz, forcing bookies to make him odds on, but you can still get a decent price of 11/10 with Stan James.
From the start it has been obvious that there has been awkward tension between Laila Rouass and Anton Du Bekem but it seems that now there falling outs are affecting their performance on the show. It was rumoured that they had argued just before the show on Saturday night and this would explain an average to poor performance from two people who looked as though they would much rather be somewhere else. These friendship problems are meaning that bookies are lengthening there odds as they seem to become more distance each week. They are best priced with Sky Bet at 14/1.
If you fancy making a bet on who is going to rather than staying, then Ladbrokes are offering very generous odds of 6/5 from 13/8, that Craig Kelly will be the next to leave this week and odds of 150/1 that he will win the competition. If Craig is able to ‘wow’ the judges and public this week and manages to gain himself another week in the competition, then Ladbrokes are backing Jo Wood at 9/4 to leave this weekend.
