Sky Bet offer odds on a new football betting market

25th September, 2009

As we return to the Barclays Premier this weekend, Sky Bet have decided to open up a new betting market which will allow punters to bet on a player to score and his team to score a certain amount of goals.

A spokesmen from Sky Bet said, “With the top six in the Barclays Premier all odds-on to win this weekend, we’re offering the player and team special to give our customers a bit more value. It’s a fun market and will keep people interested until the final whistle is blown.”

It will come as no surprise that Wayne Rooney is priced with very short odds at 6/5 to score 2 or more goals against Stoke after scoring 6 goals in 6 matches. Other odds on matches this weekend include Liverpool vs. Hull which sees Fernando Torres and his team set to score 3 or more goals and is priced at 6/5. Odds show that Tottenham are likely to beat Burnley and Jermain Defoe and his team look likely to score 3 or more goals at 2/1, Defoe is also priced at 8/1 to score in both the first and second half of the match.

There are a lot more exciting betting markets available at Sky Bet ahead of this weekend’s games, so click here to see what else is on offer!
