Ronaldo named PFA Player of the Year

Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo was last night named as the Professional Footballers' Association player of the year.
It is the second season in a row he has won the accolade, voted for by the players in the league. The winger has already scored 38 goals in all competitions, and said of the award: "I feel very happy. It is a great moment, it is an honour, a pleasure."
Nominees for the award included Torres, Gerrard, Fabregas, Adebayor and David James. Fabregas picked up the young player of the year award, whose nominees were Torres, Micah Richards, Agbonlahor and Ashley Young.
