Ronaldinho to Chelsea?
5th December, 2007
Leading Spanish daily newspaper Marca has reported that Chelsea have agreed a deal with the 27-year-old Barcelona star Ronaldinho. After a relatively poor season in which he has found himself on the bench on a number of occasions and reported disagreements with management at the club, it appears as if the spending power of Roman Abramovich will bring the ace to London.
Reports suggest that Ronaldinho will be paid around 10million Euros (£7.1million) a-year at Stamford Bridge, although the two clubs have not yet agreed a deal. It is believed the player is keen to move in January, but it remains to be seen whether Barcelona could be persuaded to sell him before the summer, despite the fact that Barcelona coach Frank Rijkaard seems to have no place for him in the team.
Barcelona are currently favourites to win the Champions League at 7/2 with VC Bet, and Chelsea are third favourites at 7/1, also with VC Bet. How will the possible transfer affect their chances?
