Reality TV Shock Exits

The weekend was filled with drama as both favourites to win X-factor and Strictly Come Dancing exited the competitions.
X-Factor:
The tension, drama and shock could be felt on Saturday night; tension as people realise that the dream of winning the X-Factor could become a reality; the drama of the hot favourite being voted off and the shock of Eoghan's reaction to it all- he cried and cried and then ran up to Diana on stage whilst she was singing her last song, and cried some more....
Anyway, this might not be such a shock result- despite still being the bookie's favourite a week ago, Diana had not been delivering good enough performances according to the judges, whilst Alexandre Burke has been going from strength to strength. Therefore, it will come as no shock to people that Alexandre is now the hot favourite to win:
- Alexandre: 8/13 (william hill)
- Eoghan Quigg: 7/2 (betfred)
- JLS: 4/1 (stanjames)
It seems highly likely that Alexandre will win the X-Factor, however, Eoghan has the support of Ireland which could pose a threat.
Strictly Come Dancing:
This year Strictly has been incredible- the standard of dancing has been so high that it is extremely difficult to predict who will win. Austin was the favourite to win for some weeks but as the show has gone on, others have proved that they too are strong contenders. This was demonstrated last night when judges voted to save Lisa Snowdon rather than Austin. So, with Austin gone, how do the odds look for this week?:
- Tom Chambers: 8/11 (coral)
- Rachel Stevens: 9/4 (stanjames)
- Lisa Snowdon: 6/1 (ladbrokes)
Tom seems to be extremely popular with fellow contestants and the public but not so much so with the judges which might go against him. The judges do like Rachel and the public seem to like watching Vincent and the chemistry between the two. Our predictions: Lisa will be the next one to go, but at this stage there is still no clear winner.
