Premiership betting this Weekend

16th October, 2008

England continued their impressive start to this years world cup qualify campaign with a 3-1 win over Belarus. Belarus began the first half well, however it was England who struck the first blow when Steven Gerrard scored from 30 yards after excellent play from the unstoppable Wayne Rooney.

After this, Belarus looked dangerous as they put pressure on the English midfield and defense. Their quick passing and movement resulted in them scoring a deserved goal after a 23 man passing move ending in Sitko heading the ball pass a helpless David James in goal.

The teams went into the break at 1-1 but England came out and reinstated their control over the game. Within 5 minutes the brilliant Emile Heskey crossed for Rooney to tap in from close range. England were back in business.

The team looked much sharper and energetic in the second half and capped of a good performance with a world class goal, which England fans will cherish for many years to come. Rooney passed to Gerrard who played it back to the United forward, who then took it past a defender and chipped it over the keeper. 3-1 and the game was over.
