Premier League action Manchester United vs Liverpool

12th March, 2009

Last night also saw both Manchester United and Arsenal join the other two British teams in quarter-finals of the Champions League. Manchester United won 2-0 at home while Arsenal won 7-6 in a penalty shootout.

The draw for the Champions League is to be held on the 20th March and could lead to a all British semi-final.

Back in the domestic league however two of the quarter finalists will be up against each other on Saturday.

Manchester United take on Liverpool at Old Trafford in what many believe will be the biggest game of the season. Currently United are seven points clear of their rivals and will want to extend their lead to ten.

The Premiership Champions are in great form and will be almost certain to retain the title should they win at the weekend. For Liverpool, it is a must win if they are to challenge the Red Devils.

Both Bet365 and Sky Bet have United at 10/11 favourite and Liverpool at 7/2 underdogs.

Paddy Power and Coral also feel United are favourite to continue their winning ways giving odds of

  • United 10/11

  • Liverpool 10/3

With most if not all bookies favouring United the better prices are on the ‘correct score’.

Ladbrokes:

  • Manchester United 1 – 0 Liverpool 6/1

  • Manchester United 2 – 0 Liverpool 7/1

  • Manchester United 2 – 1 Liverpool 7/1

  • Liverpool 1 – 0 Manchester United 8/1

  • Liverpool 2 – 0 Manchester United 22/1

  • Liverpool 2 – 1 Manchester United 14/1
