Online football betting odds for Sven-Goran Eriksson’s future career plans
21st October, 2009
There have been rumours that Sven-Goran Eriksson was approached by his native team with regards to accepting the Sweden coaching position and after denying any contact or attempts to contact the former England manager, it has been confirmed that the Swedish FA have spoken to Sven and he quickly declined the offer.
A spokesperson from Sky Bet explained, "Given that Sven has now snubbed the chance to manage Sweden, a position in which he has previously expressed an avid interest, we can’t see anything luring him away from Meadow Lane this season.”
Sky Bet have had to re think other potential bets that are still in the pipe line and it seems that they were offering 1/2 that Sven would see out the current season with Nott Country, but have been forced to slash these odds to 1/4 after recent actions looks like he is not going anywhere in a hurry. It has been reported that Sven has had several job offers since he began his time at Notts County but after declining them he seems to be committed to the club and currently appears to be involved in their long term plans.
Online football betting odds suggested that the Director of Notts County would take the managerial position at Meadow Lane, but Sven has promptly denied this and explained that if he wanted to return to a managerial position it would be with a different club, not Notts County.
Sky Bet are offering odds of 8/1 that Sven will take the managerial position, with a price of 20/1 that he will move to an English Premier League Club and 25/1 that he will join a Championship side.
