Online football betting odds for Fulham vs. AS Roma

22nd October, 2009

Fulham entertain AS Roma tonight in their toughest game this year in the Europa League and it seems that tonight’s game will be the teams chance to prove that they deserve to be playing at the level they are. So far this year they have looked comfortable playing and appear to be able to give as good as they get and tonight’s game will be a test of their level of football.

Manager Roy Hodgson, who has recently been approached regarding the Norway and Sweden international coach roles, has admitted that this game is going to be tough and also agreed that he, could rest players after Monday night’s win against Hull. The 62 year old explained, “It is the league that counts and we make no apologies for resting players because that is our priority. At the same time we are trying our very best and so far have done well in both.”

It looks as though despite what the managers or bookies say, the team are greatly looking forward to the game with midfielder Jonathan Greening revealing, “This is why I came to Fulham- for the challenge and to play games like this. I think we can go a long way because there is quality throughout and players to come back to. I’m really enjoying it and it’s great for the club.”

The bookies have got lots of great odds for tonight’s game, starting with Stan James backing Fulham to win at 15/8, Roma to win at 6/4 and a draw with Bet 365 at 23/10. With Fulham’s previous record of great success in home games, Roma may also be a little anxious to head over to London to play at Craven Cottage tonight. A great money earner for tonight’s match is the correct score of 1-1 priced at 6/1 with Blue Square, or 2-2 with Bet 365 priced at 16/1.

With Fulham’s Danny Murphy injured, Dikgacoi is not eligible and Toni Kallio, Simon Davies and Andrew Johnson will also miss out following their win over Hull, so it appears that Fulham fans are understandably concerned that the best team is not being played in order to rest them for Sunday’s game against Manchester City, so punters are prepared for the worst.

The game will kick off at 8.05pm and can be watched live on channel 5. For more betting odds or to place a bet then visit Bet 365 to see what they have to offer.
