Online football betting odds for Celtic vs. Hamburg

22nd October, 2009

Tonight’s game, that will be shown live on ITV.com, is a very important game for Celtic and they will be desperate to win as they have not had a very successful run of games yet having not one a single match of their opening games.

Whilst fans would like a team’s manager to have faith in their team, Celtic’s has instead asked for the fans to be patient explaining, “Hamburg has a third-choice striker who cost them £12 million and their talent leaves our player exposed”. In addition, he stressed that he hoped that the majority of fans understood ‘the journey they were on’ and he asked for as much support as possible, highlighting that Celtic have and will continue to play consistently.

On the bright side for Celtic, they have a lot of their players returning from time off for injuries and it has been confirmed that Glenn Loovens and Andreas Hinkel are fit to play. It appears that Celtic has a very strong team at the back, but the area they are struggling with is the most important, having very few strikers at the front.

However, Celtic could be at an advantage as Hamburg is missing eight first team players due to injuries, with three of them being strikers! Although bad news for Hamburg, what with injuries and recoveries from both teams, this could allow room for Celtic to get their first win and could make the game a lot more exciting!

Celtic is backed at 2/1 with Paddy Power to walk away with a win, whilst Hamburg is backed at 6/4 with Ladbrokes and a draw with Boylesports will see a payout of 12/5.
