Online football betting odds and highlights for Fulham vs. Man City
23rd October, 2009
Fulham played very well in the first half in their game last night against Roma making the score 1-0 right up until the last kick of the game that saw Roma send the ball to the back of the net seconds before the whistle blew, making it a final score of 1-1. Unfortunately for Fulham they have got a lot of tough matches coming up over the next few weeks and it would have really helped them if they had stolen a win in last night’s game but instead will have to play with determination in the forthcoming games.
Manager of Manchester City Mark Hughes, will be glad to know that several of his players will be attempting the match today having been out on injury, but he is clearly anxious that it could be too soon for them to come back and this could result in slightly gentle play. Emmanuel Adebayor is going to attempt to play today after an ankle injury last Sunday against Wigan, whilst Pablo Zabaleta got sent off and is therefore banned. Hughes hopes that the other players that have recovered will be alright, including Craig Bellamy who has just recovered from a groin strain and Kolo Toure who injured his ankle. This match is defiantly going to prove a challenge for City.
Fulham will still not have striker Danny Murphy as well as leaving out Simon Davies, Dickson Ethu and Andrew Johnson from the team line up. Manager Roy Hodgson admitted that Andrew Johnson returned early from his injury and this has probably resulted in his injury being prolonged which will be the reason he may not be fit in time for this weekend’s game.
City will be hoping to take the title of this game to make sure they are in the top four of the Premier League but the Cottagers will arrive at the Manchester Stadium supported by confidence after their incredible 2-0 victory over Hull earlier this week, as well as leading the match in last night’s game, which was supposed to be one of their toughest games this season.
City does have in their favour a fantastic home ground record, but likewise Fulham have an excellent record of playing at Eastlands. Fulham are more renowned for their home games but despite having had recent success when travelling over to Manchester, it is clear that they will still be apprehensive to go, especially as City have spent a lot on increasing their attacking talent over the summer transfer window.
Bookmakers Ladbrokes is offering 7/2 that the game will see a draw, with Coral backing City at 5/11 and Paddy Power pricing Fulham at 13/2. For more odds or to make a bet the visit Ladbrokes and get your hands on a FREE £10 bet.
