Online betting odds for the football manager most likely to quit

28th September, 2009

It appears that after a less than successful start to the season, a few managers are beginning to feel the pressure and in particular, bookies think that Hull manager Phil Brown will be the one to be most uncomfortable, making him amongst the favourites to leave his post sooner rather than later.

After Everton thrashed Hull 4-0 last Wednesday, Sky Bet has shortened Brown’s odds from 7/2 to 9/4 meaning he is priced slightly behind Portsmouth manager Paul Hart who is backed at 7/4 to leave his position. Hart appears to be in a harder position as Pompi have a worse record than Hull having had 7 straight defeats.

William Hill are also offering 4/7 that the team will be relegated this season and it seems that this comes as no surprise to the punters, but Hull fans are far from impressed, but the fans must remember that Brown has had a very positive impact on the club taking them to their current position when they were once at the bottom division of the football league.

A spokesman from Sky Bet explained, “With only two wins in their last 19 games, the pressure is really starting to build on the Tigers’ boos.” Hull is priced to finish the season at 5/2 making them second from the bottom, with Brown still their manager until 2010 at 7/4 and without at 2/5 with Sky Bet.
