Online betting odds for Manchester United whilst Fergie misses out

18th November, 2009

Manchester United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, is having to sit out of their next game at Old Trafford against Everton on the 21st November after making abusive comments about referee Alan Wiley. Fergie was fined £20,000 and is forced to sit out on the teams next two games.

Whilst Manchester United got off to a very good start this season, in the last few games they have not had luck on their side and it seems that the touchline ban for Fergie has come at the wrong time, as the team have dropped 5 points behind leaders Chelsea, so have a lot of ground to make up! Man U player Nemanja Vidic does not see how not having Ferguson there will leave the team at a disadvantage and believes that they are perfectly capable of supporting one another.

Vidic went on to explain, “With regards to the touchline ban, I don’t think there will be a big difference, he sees everything and he will still have contact with the second coach who will be there. We know what is waiting for us and what he expects of us – nothing changes. During the game you are focused and don’t look over to the bench. After Chelsea has moved 5 points away from us, the next few games are very important to us. I hope we show the character to win the games without him.”

The last time Manchester United and Everton met in the FA Cup they lost, however they have won the last three games against them so Blue Square are offering even money that Manchester United take the lead the whole way through the game, winning at half time and finishing ahead.

With new father Wayne Rooney on top form in recent games, bookies Blue Square are confident that Manchester United will be popping the balls to the back of the net and are offering odds of 5/6 that the first goal is scored in the first 29 minutes.

Overall prices for the match see Blue Square offering 2/5 that Manchester United will steal a win and 17/2 with Boylesports that Everton will win at Old Trafford for the first time in 17 years.

Blue Square are offering lots of different odds for the game on the 21st November and if you sign up today you can get yourself a FREE £10 bet!
