Online betting odds for Fulham vs. CSKA Sofia
3rd December, 2009
Fulham have proved that they can play some great football and it looks as though bookies think that Roy Hodgson’s team deserve to finish higher than third place in Group E, and whilst it appears to be a unlikely that they will reach the knockout stages they need to win tonight’s came to still be in with a chance. They are priced at 100/30 with Sky Bet to qualify for the knockout stages (1/5 not to).
Tonight Fulham entertain CSKA Sofia and Sky Bet are pricing Fulham at 2/7 favourites, with CSKA Sofia priced at 7/1 and a draw backed at 4/1. There is a lot of speculation as to who Roy Hodgson will play as it is no secret that the West London side have had some trouble with their players due to injuries.
It is thought that Bobby Zamora could make his return tonight after being taken off due to an injury against Blackburn, but with or without him Clint Dempsey has scored a fantastic five goals out of seven matches and with him remaining in great shape it looks as though tonight’s game could be another chance to score more for Fulham.
It has been revealed that striker Andy Johnson will have to undergo an operation which may cause a few problems for the team and it looks as though Hodgson will be forced to investigate a worth while transfer in January in order to help strengthen the side. Although Diomansy Kamara will not be playing it looks hopeful that Danny Murphy will be fit enough to make an appearance.
A spokesman from Sky Bet explained, “Whilst Fulham should beat CSKA Sofia tonight, who are without a win in four matches, the crucial game will be away to FC Basel in two weeks time. The Cottagers will be hoping that FC Basel will have already qualified and will decide to rest key players.”
Other odds for this game include, Fulham priced at 1/5 favourite that they are the first team to score and they are 2/5 that they score over 2 goals, whilst CSKA Sofia are priced at 12/1 to net the first ball.
Sky Bet are also odds on other markets including 4/7 that Roma will be the outright Group E winner followed by FC Basel at 13/8 with Fulham priced at 8/1 third favourite.
