Online Bookies cut odds on Hamilton

30th April, 2009

Lewis Hamilton is again in the media spotlight this week, after it was announced that McLaren will banned form racing for races. After admitting charges of lying to race stewards, Hamilton's team have been dealt a harsh blow.

Valuable points will be lost as the World champion continues his fight to retain his title. Online bookies now price Hamilton at a long 7/1 to win this years drivers championship, but fellow Brit Jeson Button is priced at a short 11/10.

Button stormed to victory in Bahrain last week and will be looking to continue his excellent form in the Spanish GP which takes place on Sunday 10th May.

It's still very early in the season and as we discovered last year, any thing can happen in F1, but bookies seem to be backing new team, Brawn GP. Ladbrokes price Brawn at 4/6 to win the Constructors Championship and and Bet 365 price them at 8/11.
