Online Betting Odds on Champions League Quarter Finals
14th April, 2009
One English team will go through to the semi-final of the Champions League tonight, whether it will be Chelsea or Liverpool remains to be seen.
After a dramatic display last week by Chelsea they now have a 3-1 lead over Liverpool and will go into tonight’s home game tie as favourites.
Chelsea can even afford to lose tonight’s game and still move into the next round.
Ladbrokes, Paddy Power and Betfred all put Chelsea 11/8 to win, with Liverpool, at 2/1 to win.
Tonight’s other quarter final see’s Barcelona play Bayer Munchen away, although with a four goal aggregate lead it is almost a certainty that Barcelona will be in the semi’s.
Coral make Barcelona slight favourites to win tonight at 6/4 with Bayern Munchen at 13/8.
Tomorrow will see both Arsenal and Manchester United fighting for their semi final places. Both currently tied with opponents on aggregate, there is everything to play for.
Arsenal have a crucial away goal, and home advantage going into tomorrow’s clash, and are strong favourites to beat Villarreal. Totesport and Bet 365 put Arsenal 1/2 favourites and Villarreal 6/1 underdogs.
The last of the quarter finals will see current champions, Manchester United travel to Portugal in their second leg game against Porto FC. No English team has ever beaten Porto FC on home turf, so can Manchester United be the first?
Despite this and Porto FC having home advantage and 2 away goals, United are bookies favourite to go through to the next round. Coral put United at 11/10 favourites while Porto are 12/5 underdogs.
My Tip:
Barcelona to win 2-1 over Bayern Munchen
Chelsea to draw 2-2 with Liverpool but go through on aggregate
Arsenal to win 3-1 over Villarreal
Porto FC to draw 1-1 with United and go through on away goals.
