New Zealand embarrass England in second ODI
12th February, 2008
England put in an unbelievably poor performance, worse than the first ODI, to get thrashed by 10 wickets by an understrength New Zealand side. England had reached 90-2 in a match reduced to 36 overs per side but collapsed horribly to be bowled out for just 158.
Without Alastair Cook’s 53, England may have put in just about the worst performance ever, as New Zealand went on to prove just how good the wicket was, chasing down the adjusted target of 165 in just 18.1 overs.
Despite the dominance of the hosts so far, England are huge favourites to win the test series, at about 4/6, whilst New Zealand can be found at 4s using our free live odds comparison service.
